Dr. Frostad’s Research Featured on Cover of RSC Journal Soft Matter

soft-matter-cover-2016The research of new faculty Dr. John M. Frostad is featured on the cover of a recent issue of Royal Society of Chemistry journal Soft Matter.

Dr. Frostad’s research interests include interfacial phenomena, functional foods, emulsions and foams, novel instrumentation, and complex fluids. The cover image is a 3D surface as a representation of the film region between a bubble and a bulk interface as measured by “a simple, but novel technique using a conical-shaped bubbling apparatus.”

Those interested in learning more about this research are encouraged to read Dr. Frostad’s article ‘Dynamic fluid-film interferometry as a predictor of bulk foam properties’, which can be found in Soft Matter, 2016, 12, 9266 (DOI: 10.1039/c6sm01361a).
