  • Wastewater,seawater, brackish water membrane desalination
  • Fouling research in membranes and heat exchangers (modelling, pre-treatment, feed, deposit and system characterization, foulant and interface interactions, cleaners and inhibitors, etc.). Various types of fouling (inorganic, colloidal, biological, organic, and composite) are being investigated.
  • Molecular modelling assessment of interactive effects
  • Numerical and CFDmodelling of transient and steady state processes
  • Combined heat and mass transfer, change of phase, crystallization
  • Solubility, thermodynamics, kinetics, and precipitation of mixed salts
  • Membrane assisted crystallization and salt recovery
