Our society is undergoing rapid change, associated with technological advances and a shifting economic, societal and cultural context. CHBE must be sensitive to such changes and be positioned so as to fulfill its role in educating people for careers in Chemical and Biological Engineering. In this context, Department's policy is to maintain close linkages with its external communities, including the engineering profession, industry and governments, and make beneficial use of advice given to it by these communities.
