Why choose our programs?
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CHBE) provides exciting opportunities to learn about the transformation of raw materials into valuable products by chemical, biochemical, physical or electrochemical processes. Our two Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) undergraduate programs combine lectures, hands-on lab activities, problem sessions, industry visits and research and design experiences to provide students the balance of practical and analytical skills needed to become successful, competent engineers.
Our programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board of the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers, which allows students to register as an Engineer-in-Training upon graduation and to attain the “Professional Engineer” (P.Eng.) status in Canada.
The Department offers a course based Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and three research degree graduate programs:
- Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.),
- Master of Science (M.Sc.) and
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Though our programs, students have the opportunity to work and learn from world renowned researchers.
