The Academic Calendar is a comprehensive guide to all programs, courses, services, and academic policies at the University of British Columbia. The Calendar also serves as a record of many University academic policies and procedures. The online Calendar is the official Calendar. Changes are incorporated online at intervals throughout the year.
Course Schedule
The following course schedule is the suggested course schedule for students placed in one of our programs upon completion of the first-year curriculum. Students participating in the UBC Engineering Co-op Program, Coordinated International Exchange (CIE), or a minor program typically complete the three academic years of studies over four calendar years in order to meet additional requirements. All students entering department programs in 2018W and later must complete Term 1 of the third year before entering Term 2 of the third year. Students with other commitments or other considerations specific to their situation causing them to deviate from the suggested course schedule are strongly encouraged to meet with a Department advisor and develop an academic plan.
Note: the UBC Senate, effective September 2019, has approved a recent change in the second year course curriculum.
