Department Scholarships and Awards
CHBE scholarships and awards are granted annually in May for graduating students and in September for lower years. CHBE Scholarships and awards are awarded based on merit and community service, respecting donor requests. No applications are required to the awards committee and all students meeting the stipulations of the awards are automatically considered. CHBE students are also automatically considered for Applied Science scholarships and awards which may be rotated through departments.

Faculty of Applied Science International Student Scholarship Totalling $15,000, scholarships up to $5,000 each awarded to international engineering students who have completed at least 30 credits or be entering their 2nd year. Students must demonstrate strong academic achievement, engagement with ApSc and potential to make scholarly contribution in their field of study. | $5,000 |
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Summer Research Award
If you are an undergraduate student who would like to get research experience in an academic setting, you should consider applying for an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA). Through these awards, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) subsidizes eligible professors to hire students to work on their research projects. The program creates interesting research-related jobs and gives you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Awards
Designed for International Undergraduate students who are interested in research, the Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Awards subsidizes professors to hire students to work on their research projects. The program provides students with workplace experience through undergraduate research opportunities, particularly for students interested in research as a career.
