Engineering Student Societies

The Department encourages students to be involved in extracurricular activities. Students are automatically members of the CHBE Undergraduate Council or the CHBE Graduate Club.

CHBE Undergraduate Council

The CHBE Undergraduate Council and Graduate Club aim to enhance the students’ experience during their time in the department. The CHBE Undergraduate Council has its own lounge on the 3rd floor, complete with a kitchen, gaming consoles, couches and vending machines. The Undergraduate Council organizes undergraduate student representation in the Department.

The CHBE Undergraduate Council represents Chemical and Biological Engineering Undergraduate students to the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS), Alma Mater Society (AMS), the departments and the Faculty of Applied Science.

Engineering Undergraduate Society

The Engineering Undergraduate Society’s mission is to support the academic, professional, and social needs of UBC Engineering students, encourage excellence in all aspects of student life while at university, and celebrate the accomplishments of its members.

CHBE Graduate Club

The CHBE Graduate Club has its own lounge on the 6th floor, complete with a kitchen, ping pong table, foosball table and couches. The Grad Club organizes grad student representation in the Department.
